Jerri Scaife
studied fashion design, pattern drafting, millinery and fashion merchandising at Louise Salinger School of Dress Design, in San Francisco, California from 1963 through 1965. After spending several years designing, sewing, and creating fashions for herself, her children and family members she was invited to participate in a local fashion show. This led to several art competitions and the opportunity to be paid for the fashions she had created. Jerri's fashions were labeled "Wearable Textile Art".
Jerri was honored to win first place in the Nor Cal Art Competition in the field of 3 dimensional art. She is a member of the National League of American Pen Women. Santa Clara County Branch. Jerri feels that the inspirational membership has been very instrumental in helping to achieve her artistic talents.
Focusing on what she calls "The Great Cover-up" Jerri designs jackets, coats, shawls, and ponchos. You can add them to your own fashion statement. If you are wearing your favorite pair of jeans or an elegant formal, J's Creations will add just the touch you need for a look of elegance!
All of J's Creations are hand crafted, part art, part fashion and a large dose of passion. The end result presents you with a lovely fashion piece of wearable art that enhances your existing wardrobe and beauty.
Jerri can duplicate each creation; however, each piece will be unique. The fabrics will vary in color, texture and type. They may be made of cotton, wool, linen, suede, faux fur, silk or satin.
